I got a seat on the MUNI underground today and for I think the first time ever I had a clear view of the tunnel as we traveled along. It was pretty cool, although annoying when we stopped because another train was going through the tunnel. Then I thought that maybe all of MUNI’s troubles are due to ghost trains coming and going all night and all day, and then I thought about how that would make for a new TV show. On ABC it would be a family-friendly “the living and the dead commune and commute with each other” show. On CBS it would be a buddy show with a Ghostbusters bent. On NBC it would be a “really cold case” crime drama. On FOX it would be a cartoon, with, like, a talking alligator or something. And on FX it would be “American Horror Story: Subway.”

And then I thought about how much time there is on MUNI when you leave your book at work.

Moral of the story: don’t forget your book at work.
